Over 70 teachers, managers and school psychologists from five educational institutions in Chisinau participate in a two-day training workshop in the implementation of the \u201cBetter Learning Programme\u201d. The training aims to strengthen and develop the capacities of people employed in education in facilitating the inclusion of children who are in crisis situations, including refugee children, in the school environment.<\/p>\n
The event is carried out by the NGO \u201cPartnerships for Every Child\u201d in cooperation with the Chisinau General Department of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education and research, within the project \u201cImproving the wellbeing of children: Better Learning Programme for the training of education professionals\u201d, financially supported by the Norwegian Refugee Council.<\/p>\n
BLP is a psychosocial support programme that can be integrated into educational programmes in contexts of crisis, including humanitarian. The programme uses a holistic approach to support children’s recovery from traumatic events experienced during conflicts or the impact of displacement on both displaced and host communities by improving learning conditions. It mobilises children\u2019s support network with the aim of restoring a sense of normalcy and hope. BLP is implemented in 26 countries and research shows that participation in the programme helps children improve their ability to understand their emotions, to communicate them and self-regulate, thus improving their wellbeing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
