With the support of UNICEF, approximately 40 parents will improve their parenting skills by participating in the parental education program \u201dPEACE \u2013 Empathetic, Assertive, Aware and Balanced Parenting\u201d. Parents and caregivers who are beneficiaries of social services provided by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children\u2019s Rights of the Municipality of Chisinau, including parents and caregivers of children with disabilities, will take part in joint interactive sessions together with their children, in a safe, friendly, and supportive environment.<\/p>\n
Irina Spivacenco, Program Coordinator at Partnerships for Every Child, noted that participants will discover practical ways to be more responsive and connected to their children\u2019s needs. At the same time, parents will have the opportunity to communicate, share their own experiences, and find support and encouragement within the group, thus creating a learning and support network that continues beyond the duration of the program.<\/p>\n
The PEACE program helps parents reduce stress and promote family well-being. It also encourages gender equality by challenging stereotypes and supporting an equitable partnership between mothers and fathers.<\/p>\n
Another important objective of the program is to create a stable, safe, and violence-free family environment in which children can grow and develop harmoniously. Parents will receive age-appropriate support materials tailored to their children\u2019s developmental stages, ensuring that the information is practical and easy to apply in everyday life. The PEACE program is built on social learning principles and promotes a positive parenting approach based on respect, understanding, and non-violent discipline.<\/p>\n
The PEACE program is implemented under the UNICEF project \u201cBetter Care for Children\u201d, implemented by Partnerships for Every Child, with financial support from the Government of Sweden, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
