With the support of UNICEF, members of the Child Protection Commissions for Children in Difficulty from eight districts, as well as from the municipalities of Balti and Chisinau, are participating in training sessions held from 2\u20135 September. The sessions aim to strengthen their ability to respond more effectively to the needs of children and families in situations of difficulty. Approximately 100 professionals are enhancing their skills to intervene promptly in risk situations affecting children and their families, to prevent child\u2013parent separation, and to provide support to children who are already outside the family, through the application of child protection principles.<\/p>\n
Daniela M\u0103m\u0103lig\u0103, Director of Partnerships for Every Child, emphasized that the Child Protection Commission for Children in Difficulty plays a crucial role in child protection. She noted that its members must be well prepared to carefully analyze each case, as children\u2019s situations can be highly complex. This enables them to better understand the challenges faced by children and their families and to make informed decisions aimed at preventing separation from parents and supporting children who are already outside the family environment.<\/p>\n
During the training, participants will learn how to intervene quickly and effectively to support children in difficulty, make coherent and appropriate decisions, and identify risks that may negatively affect children.<\/p>\n
Members of the Commissions will also explore key topics such as children\u2019s fundamental needs, the effects of child\u2013family separation, and the impact of trauma on children. The sessions will further address elements of the child\u2013family separation prevention system, as well as the organization and responsibilities of the Child Protection Commission for Children in Difficulty.<\/p>\n
The training workshops are organized under the UNICEF project \u201cBetter Care for Children,\u201d implemented by Partnerships for Every Child (P4EC) with financial support from the Government of Sweden, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
