Members of the multidisciplinary team from Bardar village, Ialoveni district, are participating on 25\u201326 June in a training workshop aimed at strengthening knowledge and good practices in supporting and strengthening families in their community. Similar trainings will be conducted by the end of the month for members of multidisciplinary teams from Vorniceni (Str\u0103\u0219eni), H\u00eertopul Mare (Criuleni) and Co\u0219ni\u021ba (Dub\u0103sari).<\/p>\n
Natalia Semeniuc, project coordinator at Partnerships for Every Child, noted that a total of approximately 60 specialists will benefit from this training. Participants include professionals from social assistance, education, public order, health care, local public administration, representatives of religious denominations, and active NGOs. The trainings will be delivered with the support of national trainers who have previously been prepared for this purpose.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur aim is to strengthen the knowledge of all community actors regarding the Social Support Service for Families with Children, in particular its primary component (SFFP); child well-being domains and family protective factors; the responsibilities of community-based professionals in preventing families with children from entering situations of difficulty; and community mobilization, among others. In these four localities, we plan to establish one family-friendly space for families with children, where specialists will carry out various activities for both families and children. These will include mutual support groups, public caf\u00e9s, parenting sessions on various topics, the \u2018Parents\u2019 School\u2019, and other activities,\u201d stated Natalia Semeniuc.<\/p>\n
All these actions are part of the piloting of an enhanced model of the Social Support Service for Families with Children, aimed at strengthening the service and developing its primary component to ensure child well-being, family stability, and reduced dependence on specialized support and interventions. The piloting process is based on data from a national analysis of existing family support and strengthening programmes and activities, conducted in March\u2013April in the districts of Criuleni, Dub\u0103sari, Ialoveni and Str\u0103\u0219eni, which fall under the responsibility of the Territorial Social Assistance Agency (ATAS) Centre.<\/p>\n
The trainings are carried out within the Changing The Way We Care (CTWWC) Initiative, implemented by Catholic Relief Services and Maestral International, together with other global, national and local partners working collaboratively to change the way children are cared for worldwide.<\/p>\n
