A workshop on strengthening the organizational management competencies of decision-makers was held in February of this year.<\/p>\n
The event brought together heads and deputy heads of Social Assistance and Family Protection Departments from 11 districts of the country. During the workshop, participants learned about key aspects that contribute to the efficient functioning of a Social Assistance and Family Protection Department.<\/p>\n
The topics discussed focused on leadership styles, typical challenges in organizational management, and the way organizations function, with particular emphasis on structure, responsibilities, roles, and procedures. Separate discussion sessions addressed task delegation as a tool for development and empowerment, as well as task-oriented versus results-oriented approaches as defining elements of leadership style.<\/p>\n
Present at the opening of the workshop, Ms. Stela Grigora\u0219, Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Family, emphasized in her welcoming remarks that understanding the role of leadership in ensuring the effective functioning of Social Assistance and Family Protection Departments, recognizing common organizational management challenges, and identifying methods to overcome them will undoubtedly lead to increased effectiveness of social assistance bodies in implementing national social policies. \u201cThe social protection system is complex, essential for society, and at the same time highly engaging. The impact of successfully implemented social policies depends on how well they are organized and planned,\u201d reiterated Ms. Grigora\u0219.<\/p>\n
The workshop was organized by Partnerships for Every Child\u00a0within the framework of the project \u201cA Strong Family for Every Child\u201d, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).<\/p>\n
