Through various media channels, the campaign promoted community-based social services for children and families, encouraging state authorities and local communities to support family-based care and to resort to institutionalization only as a last-resort protection measure.<\/p>\n<p>Key outcomes of the awareness campaign \u201cBring the future home\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Radio and TV debate programs, and articles in the print media;<\/li>\n<li>Social performance \u201cApple Blossoms\u201d presented at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre;<\/li>\n<li>Radio and TV marathons organized and broadcast by Teleradio-Moldova;<\/li>\n<li>Five documentary films about alternative services and the risks of institutionalization;<\/li>\n<li>29 newsletters and 3 bilingual professional journals;<\/li>\n<li>Promotional materials visible in public spaces (billboards, stickers, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>20 journalists trained (from both national and local media);<\/li>\n<li>National and international conferences, including the launch conference of the Child Care System Reform, held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Moldova;<\/li>\n<li>Five video spots and three audio spots broadcast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The campaign titled \u201cBring the Future Home\u201d aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of raising children in a family environment and the negative effects of institutionalization.
