The European Union is supporting the development of these new social services through a grant competition open to civil society organizations. This initiative aims to uphold the right of children with severe disabilities to receive quality care in community-based services that better respond to their individual needs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The establishment of the Community Homes will enable the transition of at least 20 children with severe disabilities from residential institutions to newly created community-based services, staffed by trained professionals who will provide individualized support and promote the children&#8217;s social inclusion. Civil society organizations with experience in developing social services are invited to submit project proposals under the grant competition, officially launched today, 9 July 2026, in Chi\u0219in\u0103u.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This funding opportunity is part of the project &#8220;Stronger Civil Society \u2013 Safer Childhood: Supporting the Transformation of the Child Protection System in the Republic of Moldova.&#8221; The project is funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by Keystone Moldova, CCF Moldova \u2013 Child, Community, Family, and Partnerships for Every Child.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A total of EUR 560,000 is available to support the establishment and operation of the Community Homes. Interested non-governmental organizations can find detailed information on the application process by watching the launch event, which was livestreamed this morning, or by consulting the call for proposals published on the Keystone Moldova website. The deadline for submitting applications is 3 August 2026, and the results of the call will be announced within three months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The project &#8220;Stronger Civil Society \u2013 Safer Childhood: Supporting the Transformation of the Child Protection System in the Republic of Moldova&#8221; seeks to strengthen the role of civil society organizations and expand access to sustainable, family-centred and community-based child protection services for children at risk and their families.
