500 children will receive school supplies

22/08/2025

Five hundred children from socially vulnerable families in the municipality of Chisinau and the districts of Hîncești and Ștefan Vodă will receive school supplies by 1 September. This initiative will provide the necessary support for children to start the school year with confidence and to fully engage in the educational process.

Ana Palii, Project Manager at Partnerships for Every Child, emphasized “Together with our donors, we are giving children the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment where they feel supported, loved, and safe—because education and well-being are key to a healthy childhood and harmonious development. This initiative also represents important support for families, reducing financial pressure and providing essential resources to help them support their children’s education.”

Maher Daboul, Educational Program Development Manager at NRC Moldova, stated “Access to education begins with simple but essential items, such as school supplies. Through this initiative, we support children in starting the new school year with confidence and dignity, reducing the financial burden on families and encouraging them to continue their educational journey. We believe that every child has the right to feel prepared and supported when they step into the classroom.”

The school supply kits are provided under the project “Ensuring Child Well-Being in Educational Institutions and Communities,” funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by Partnerships for Every Child, in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). The “Program for Better Learning” was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 2022 with support from NRC, in response to the humanitarian crisis and the increased influx of refugee children.
