Training SAFPD human resources to provide alternative family-type care services

30 specialists who will be providing training to foster care applicants and foster parents participated recently in a two-days training. The event was organized by Partnerships for Every Child, in collaboration with the organization Asistenta Parentala Profesionista – Suport pentru copii (Foster Care – Support for Children). The training was provided to trainers from Social Assistance and Family Protection Departments of 11 pilot regions of USAID-funded project “Children in Moldova live in safe and secure families”, implemented by Partnerships for Every Child.
The mentioned training is part of a series of training of trainers modules organized in SAFPDs, aiming to ensure alternative family-type care services for children.

Partnerships for Every Child is implementing the project “Children in Moldova are cared for in safe and secure families” funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that will last till June, 2017 and has the a goal to improve the safety, wellbeing and development of highly vulnerable children, particularly those who are living without adequate family care.
