A project connecting both banks of the Dniester by supporting the socio-professional integration of youth
23/04/2018
Fifteen young women at risk will learn sewing, knitting, garment repair, and the creation of traditional costumes within a social sewing workshop. This workshop is being established through the social charity project “Supporting the Socio-Professional Integration of Adolescents at Risk on the Left Bank of the Dniester through the Establishment of a Social Sewing Workshop in Tiraspol”, developed by Partnerships for Every Child in collaboration with the “Childhood for Children” Charity Fund in Tiraspol.
The training program offered through this project, which will benefit the 15 young women, is significant from cultural, social, and economic perspectives. The three-month course will help develop professional and social skills, including creativity, teamwork, and labor market integration.
Moreover, the project will contribute to building trust and strengthening cooperation between the beneficiaries and the teams of specialists working to support the socio-professional integration of youth from both banks of the Dniester.
The social charity project will run from April to October 2018, with financial support from the European Union, and will be implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
