There are no foreign children

With her three-year-old daughter, Maria, in a stroller, a bag containing basic necessities, and followed by quick but small steps of her seven-year-old daughter, Evelina, Natalia crossed the Palanca border checkpoint in search of a safer place in the Republic of Moldova.
They found safety and support immediately after crossing the border at the “Blue Dot” First Assistance Centre, established by UNICEF Moldova and Partnerships for Every Child, where specialists ensured that their journey forward would be easier and filled with reassurance.
Evelina’s and Maria’s smiles are a token of gratitude for the work we do every day for their well-being. Every child needs peace and deserves to grow up in a healthy and safe environment.
Three “Blue Dot” First Assistance Centres, established by UNICEF and Partnerships for Every Child at the Palanca (Ștefan Vodă), Leușeni (Hîncești), and Sculeni (Ungheni) border crossing points, provide counselling services, child-friendly spaces, and essential supplies. Six additional centres are scheduled to be opened in the near future.
