Success stories from the PANDA Programme: Galina and her journey towards change

20/01/2025

Galina (name changed) is a mother of four who, in the past, struggled with alcohol use. She says that her greatest achievement after participating in the PANDA Programme was deciding to undergo treatment so that neither she nor her children would have to go through such a negative experience again.

“I changed a lot after attending the programme sessions. I became more sociable and more confident. I can now openly talk about what hurts me, and I am grateful that I was accepted as I am by the other parents and the group facilitators. Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to participate in the programme. I hope you will be able to help as many people as possible in this way.”

The “PANDA” Programme is implemented within the UNICEF project “Every girl and boy is protected and empowered to realise their potential with dignity,” carried out by the NGO “Partnerships for Every Child” in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, with financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Development Bank (KfW).
