The ”WELL” Programme
07/04/2026
The ”WELL” Programme (formerly the Better Learning Programme – BLP) has been implemented by Partnerships for Every Child (P4EC) in the Republic of Moldova since 2022, in partnership with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC).
The programme comprises three modules—”WELL 1”, ”WELL 2”, and ”WELL for Youth”—designed for different age groups and aimed at strengthening resilience, developing socio-emotional competencies, supporting stress management, and fostering safe and inclusive learning environments. At the same time, teachers, parents, and other professionals working with children are equipped with practical tools to promote emotional well-being and build positive relationships with children.
Over the course of its implementation, the programme has expanded beyond the education sector into social services, supporting both children from host communities and refugee children from Ukraine. By adapting the programme resources to the context of the Republic of Moldova and strengthening the capacities of professionals, P4EC and NRC have established the foundations for a sustainable intervention that promotes children’s well-being and enhances the ability of schools and communities to respond effectively to children’s socio-emotional needs.
During its first four years of implementation, the ”WELL” Programme reached 40 schools across eight regions of the Republic of Moldova, benefiting approximately 15,000 children and 1,000 teachers, school leaders, librarians, and civil society professionals. Programme evaluations show an improvement of up to 25% in students’ well-being, demonstrating the effectiveness of the approach and its positive impact on children’s educational experience.
In 2026, P4EC was granted the exclusive rights to implement the ”WELL” Programme in the Republic of Moldova, marking an important milestone in ensuring the programme’s long-term sustainability and continued expansion nationwide.
