“This first meeting gave us confidence and showed us that, by sharing experiences and learning from one another, we can build closer and more harmonious relationships with our children. We discovered that we are not alone in the challenges we face as parents,” said one of the parents participating in the PEACE programme.

A new group of parents from Chișinău municipality has started activities within the PEACE programme, a space where parents can learn, reflect on their own experiences, and discover new ways to communicate and build stronger relationships with their children.

During the first session, parents discussed the principles of positive parenting, the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, everyday parenting challenges, as well as the active involvement of both parents in raising and educating their children.

The PEACE programme includes three sessions for parents and interactive parent-child activities designed to strengthen family relationships. Participants receive age-appropriate materials and are encouraged to apply the techniques learned at home. PEACE sessions are facilitated by two trained specialists and are organised in groups of up to 15 participants to ensure a practical and effective learning experience.

The PEACE programme is implemented by AO “Partnerships for Every Child”, within the UNICEF project “Better Care for Children”, with the financial support of the Government of Sweden, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova.
