Sharing experience in social protection and child protection with colleagues from Tajikistan

05/10/2026

Partnerships for Every Child, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova and UNICEF Moldova, is hosting a delegation from Tajikistan for a study visit focused on social protection and child protection.

The delegation began its visit to the Republic of Moldova today to learn about the country’s experience in developing its social protection system and services for children and families.

Throughout the week, participants will explore how Moldova’s social assistance system is organised and will learn about the reforms implemented in recent years, including the RESTART reform, the development of community- and family-based social services, intersectoral cooperation mechanisms for child protection, and the advancement of inclusive education.

The visit provides an opportunity for dialogue and the exchange of good practices between the Republic of Moldova and Tajikistan, contributing to stronger cooperation between the two countries and helping identify approaches that can be adapted to Tajikistan’s context and needs.

The study visit is organised with the support of UNICEF Tajikistan and the World Bank Office in Tajikistan and is hosted by Partnerships for Every Child.
