A workshop entitled “Therapeutic Services for Children with Complex Emotional Needs: Options, Relevance, and Perspectives” was held on 18 December to consult on the concept of a Republican Rehabilitation Center, which is set to open soon in the Soroca district.

The event, organized with the technical support of Partnerships for Every Child, was moderated by Jaci Quennell, an expert from the United Kingdom, who shared practical working models developed and tested over more than 25 years of experience. Participants included representatives from the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Social Protection, the Soroca district guardianship authorities, specialists from the Municipal Directorate for Child Rights, Chisinau, and representatives from UNICEF, Terre des hommes, and Partnerships for Every Child.

Key topics addressed during the workshop included: legislative aspects concerning the operation of such a center; the center’s profile, services, support, and activities; staff training and recruitment; the profile of potential beneficiaries; as well as approaches and working methods.

This activity is organized under the project “Strong Families for Every Child,” funded by USAID and implemented by Partnerships for Every Child in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
