Exchange of good practices in child protection between Cahul and Ungheni districts

A working group composed of decision-makers, specialists, and practitioners from the Department of Social Assistance and Family Protection (DASPF) of Cahul District is paying a study visit to Ungheni today, on 22 September 2016. The visit is organized with the technical support of the organization Partnerships for Every Child (P4EC).
The purpose of the visit is to facilitate the exchange of experience and good practices in the provision of social services for children and families, with a particular focus on services for children with disabilities. The event takes place in the context of the ongoing process of reorganization and strengthening of the Day Care Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities, recently initiated by the Cahul District administration to consolidate several services under its authority.
The host of the study visit is the Day Care Center for Children and Youth “Casa pentru toți” (House for All) in the city of Ungheni.
Throughout the day, the delegation from Cahul will become familiar with the services, methodologies, and working practices implemented at the “Casa pentru toți” Center. Participants will also attend and take part in various activities involving children and parents, alongside their counterparts from Ungheni.
Present at the event, the Deputy Mayor of Ungheni responsible for social affairs, Eduard Balan, and the Head of DASPF Ungheni, Tudor Rădeanu, warmly welcomed the guests from Cahul, congratulating them on their professional efforts and expressing best wishes for future successful collaboration.
The activity is carried out within the framework of the “Strong Families for Every Child” Project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Partnerships for Every Child, in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Moldova and 11 beneficiary districts.
