“Being a professional foster parent is, for my family, a source of great joy.”
Natalia Popa is a professional foster parent from Călărași District.
The first little girl placed with the Popa family was only nine months old when she arrived, and she left when she turned two.
Later, a boy joined the family, and now a pair of twins—who have just turned three—are enjoying the care and affection of a loving home.
“Everyone knows about their little mischiefs, but when they look at us and call us ‘Mommy’ and ‘Daddy,’ what does it matter if they break my favorite dishes or damage one of Daddy’s car wheels? They’re amazing, no matter what!” the foster parent shares joyfully, as the children hug her with tiny hands that reveal a particular fondness for fresh walnuts.
Mrs. Popa also told us that the boys love walnuts, fruits, and sweets, but she prefers to lovingly call them her “two little cabbage rolls” — because they are the ones who chase away any worries and make trivial concerns disappear, simply through their presence.
The foster parent also confided that the profession she practices today is a source of “great joy” for her family — because they are doing something good, and “anything done with pleasure can only bring happiness.”
