The “PEACE – Empathetic, Responsible, Aware and Balanced Parents” Programme – Significant Support for Families in the Republic of Moldova

In the Republic of Moldova, the parenting education programme “PEACE – Empathetic, Responsible, Aware and Balanced Parents” is implemented with the support of UNICEF to help parents strengthen their child-rearing and education skills. The programme promotes positive parenting practices and supports non-violent discipline based on empathy and gender equality.

The programme aims to integrate gender-transformative parenting approaches into UNICEF-developed parenting initiatives, enabling parents and caregivers to explore new perspectives on parenthood, recognize and adapt the influence of cultural traditions, social norms and policies on parenting practices, and contribute to building a more equitable and supportive family environment.
