Reflections of Former Members of the Children’s Consultative Councils of the Republic of Moldova
13/04/2025
The Children’s Consultative Council (CCC) is a platform through which children express their ideas and opinions. Its main mission is to amplify the voices of children, including those placed in social services, and to support their peers in understanding and claiming their rights.
The elected members of the CCC benefit, throughout their involvement, from training sessions and participate in joint meetings with representatives of the Territorial Social Assistance Structure, in order to become familiar with the social services intended for children at risk in the district. This knowledge contributes to the development of capacities for monitoring and evaluating local services, policies, and programs focused on respecting and promoting children’s rights.
The Children’s Consultative Councils were established by Parteneriate pentru Fiecare Copil (“Partnerships for Every Child”) starting in 2012, with the support of development partners, in 14 districts of the country. Over 800 children have been members of these councils.
