Training on working with child abuse victims

A group of psychologists and social assistants from multifunctional centres in the regions of Calarasi, Falesti, and Ungheni, are participating this week in a training specialized on techniques and methods of work with children who are victims of abuse. The training is provided by the British organization KCA specialized in this area.

The workshop focuses both on theoretical information and practice, and covers issues related to the work with families with vulnerable children exposed to trauma, styles of responses, impact of the toxic stress and recovery from it, emotions management, etc.

The event is organized by Partnerships for Every Child within the project ”Life without violence for Moldovan children”, funded by OAK Foundation.

Projects related to this news

The project aims to improve the safety, wellbeing and development of highly vulnerable children, particularly those children who are living without adequate family care and potential victims of abuse, including sexual abuse.
